COVID-19 Update from Rail Travel Tours – December, 2021

We hope that you and your families are safe and taking care of yourselves with vaccines being administered so we can all return to travelling Canada by rail.

In the fall of 2021, we successfully completed our fall colours tours from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Northern Ontario and also to Churchill for the Annual Polar Bear Migration.  This required us to ask all our guests be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, provide proof of vaccination at the start of the tour, and to also provide the proof with some of our partners and attractions while travelling.  As well, wearing a mask on the trains when not eating or drinking and signing Covid-19 declarations where required.  Thankfully, and with our hard work and diligence to keep our guests safe, we are not aware of any issues from our fall 2021 tours.

Going forward, as per the Canadian Government requirement, all Rail Travel Tours guests, aged over 12 years and 4 months are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to travel on our packages.  This means the following:

[1] You will require having a full series of vaccine or combination of vaccines as accepted by the GOVERNMENT OF CANADA

[2] Your last dose should be received at least 14 days prior to your tour departure.

[3] Valid proof of being fully vaccinated issued by your home province or country in a paper or digital format.

We are currently taking reservations for our 2022 season in the form of only $250 per person deposits (except where noted). These will be fully refunded if the tour you are booked on is cancelled by us due to the pandemic.  If you are interested in one of these tours please call us toll free so we can firm up your travel plans as some departures are sold out due to guests re-scheduling from the past 2 years.

Until then stay safe, self-distance, wear a mask when out in public, wash your hands and take care of each other.
