Milwaukee Road #261 –Return to Rails

THURSDAY - MONDAY May 9-13, 2013

Rail Travel Tours has limited space for the return excursion of former Milwaukee Road Steam Locomotive #261 on a package roundtrip from Winnipeg to Minneapolis and Duluth, Minnesota from  Thursday – Monday May 9 -13, 2013.  The tour includes motor coach travel to Minneapolis, 1st class roundtrip from Minneapolis to Duluth by steam train with meals onboard, hotel stays and visits to the Mall of America, Lake Superior RR Museum, Maritime Visitors Centre and more. The Best Western hotel in St Paul,MN is a recently refurbished former railway shop building (with pool, hot tub, exercise room and more) and the Radisson hotel in Duluth has views of Lake Superior with breakfast served (at both hotels) for our guests each morning. We are also planning a visit to the recently restored St Paul Union Station that will be serving Amtrak trains again later in the year as well as possibly a visit St Paul's landmark Center and the Wells Fargo Museum.
